2026 Festival comes to a close
2026 Festival was a wonderful twelve days at Huddersfield Town Hall. Over 5300 performances showing enormous talent and enthusiasm. The committee would like to thank all performers, teachers, parents and carers for their involvement and commitment. There is a link below to photographs of the festival which can be downloaded. A full set of class results are below too. Watch out for 2027 festival (7 and 17 to 27 February 2027) - launch on September 1 2026.

Classes
Class 1 Piano solo – Initial/debut grade
Performers can enter only one of the graded classes (1 to 8) and should, in discussion with their teacher, choose the most appropriate: either the grade at which the performer is currently working or the next grade to which they aspire. This will allow performers of any age to enter the appropriate class.
One own choice pre-grade 1 piece from any Initial/Debut grade book. The title of the piece, the composer, and the title of the book must be provided on the entry form or communicated to the festival administrator before Friday 5 December 2025. You must bring a copy for the adjudicator on the day of performance clearly marked with your name, the composer and the place of the piece in the book.
If the piece is not identified or it does not conform with the class rules then the performer may perform in the class and will receive verbal and written feedback but will not be placed first, second or third in the class.

Class 125 solo Acting school year 6 and under
One own choice speech from a published play (excluding Shakespeare) to be performed from memory. Slam poetry is a form of performance poetry, including rap, combining the elements of performance, writing, competition and audience participation.
