Festival VOLUNTEERS
Could You Volunteer?
The success of the Huddersfield Mrs Sunderland Festival is dependent on the help, support and friendship of many willing volunteers. More than seventy people are currently on the list of volunteers and there is always room for more.
Helpers’ tasks include door-keeping, ticket selling, performers’ steward, adjudicators’ steward, meeting and greeting, refreshments and general housekeeping. You do not need any experience or expertise. Training is given where appropriate. You need a sense of humour, commitment and common sense. The festival takes place in many venues in Huddersfield Town Hall including the main concert hall.
Being a helper provides the opportunity to experience many of the amazing and wonderful performances in the festival’s classes from the under 5 choral speaking to choirs of over fifty members; from young musicians who are just starting out on their musical journey to highly competent musicians producing exceptionally high quality performances.
You can commit to as much or as little as you are able; classes take place in the morning, afternoon and evening on most of the days of the festival. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please contact the Helpers’ Co-ordinator by completing the form below.
